Percussion /Congas, Bongos /Translator Janiah Allen, (son of band manager Anga Miller & Pepe’s stepson) is now touring with Solazo. Growing up in both Florida and Ecuador, Janiah has the benefit of a true cross-cultural background and is completely bi-lingual. Janiah grew up surrounded by music as his father, Din Allen, is a full time performing musician and Janiah started playing percussion at his side by the time he was 7 years old. While living in South America, he fell in love with latin music and Ecuador’s state music academy during his early adolescent years. He put together his first group and began performing publicly when he was 12 years old. Janiah offers his keen ear and subtile style on bongos, congas and light percussion to Solazo’s songs. Keeping it all in the family, we’re glad to report he’s along for the journey!
